Reflection post

Before attempting this activity, I thought the most difficult part to accomplish would be figuring out what musical I would choose to perform with my group.
After completing it, I now think the most difficult part to accomplish was actually practicing when one of the members of my group were absent.
The most important thing I learned from this activity is that one must be patient when working with others.
The most surprising or interesting thing I learned from this activity is that it wasn't as hard has I thought it would be.
The aspect of my work on this activity that I am most satisfied with is the actual choreographed blocking.
The aspect of my work on this activity that I am least satisfied with is my ability to sing.
I enjoyed working with Tim, Syd, and Bria.

MAY REFLECTION POST.

1. Before attempting this activity, I though the most difficult part to accomplish was... how am i going to put the actual piece of costume together. I had to think of different ideas knowing that it had to be an article of clothing and not just a prop.

2. After completing it, I now think the most difficult part to accomplish was... Making the sketching for my costume rendering. It was tough drawing the actual charcter from a book without being an artist but i pulled through it with the best of my ability and drew what i could.

3. The most important thing I learned from this activity is that... Hard work does pay off. It took about a full 3 hours just to create my rendering or sketch. It took me more to do my final draft. I also learned now that costume design is not as easy as i though it would be it does take lots of time and also alot of thinking and planning on what the next line will be.

4. The most surprising and interesting thing I learned from this assignment is... To not overlook as i mentioned in question 3 costume design. It is not as easy as people hype it to be. I am still glad i chose costume design over duet scene or monologs. It was very interesting to see how having a perfession in this area is not as easy as many other things.

5. The aspect of my work that I'm most satisfied with is... Creating my costume. It is a great feeling when you work so hard on something an the outcome that you have been waiting for for so long has happened, thats what i'm most satisfied with. I like what i did with my final piece and am glad once again that i chose the play and idea that i did.

6. The aspect of my work that I'm least satisfied with is... there is nothing really that i could say for this portion of this reflection. In all, i am very happy with my final sketchings and this was the first time i was put to the task and since everything turned out ok i am very happy to say that i'm glad about the outcome of my costume design.

MAY BLOG REFLECTION.

                                                        COSTUME DESIGN.

Before attempting this activity, I thought the most difficult part to accomplish would be: To draw all those outfits and make them look real, after all am not really a stylist, and  i had never actually drawn something pretty before.

After completing it, i thought that the most difficult part to accomplish was: To actually make the barbie look like my drawing, and do it all by myself.

The most important thing that i learned from this activity was that : You don't have to be an stylist to make a something pretty, or a art expert to make a nice drawing.

The most surprising thing that i learned from this assignment was that : I had a better imagination than i thought, I thought that all of my drawing will be horrible but some of them actually turned out to be very nice.

The aspect of my word that i am most satisfied with is: That i picked costume design it was actually  a really easy assignment, and the most satisfied part to me was that i did not had to perform anything in front of the class. And that i did a very good job from my point of view.

The aspect of my work that i am least satisfied with is: In didn't really  took time in two of my drawing and they were not as pretty as the other ones.

For my 4th quarter project I did the costume design.                                                    1. Before attempting this activity, I thought that it should be fun and creative doing a Costume Design.

2. After completing it I know think the most difficult part to accomplish was to read the play and than make the clothes according to what I read.

3.The most important thing I learned from this activity was to focus on the play to avoid making a mistake in how to design the clothes.

4.The most surprising or interesting thing I learned from this activity is that is interesting to make your own outfits and it's a fun project to do.

5. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am most satisfied with is everything I did, skirt, shirt, shoes.

6. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am least satisfied with is the drawings and that someone lost the shoes I made.

May Blog Reflection (4th Quarter Acting Project)

I did the costume designing for my 4th quarter project. I did it on a play called The Ties that Bind by Regina Taylor.  Before attempting this activity, I thought the most difficult part to accomplish would be to try to figure out what costume I should give for each character. I had to understand the characters to the best of my ability. Also how to interpret how the director would've liked the characters to dress. Especially because I've never seen the play. After completing it, I still thought the most difficult part to make a decision on which designs I was going to give each character. The most important thing I learned from this activity is that it is important thing to read the play before you begin to design the costumes. If I didn't, my designs wouldn't represent what the characters would wear. The most interesting thing I learned from this activity was that I could actually design. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am more satisfied with is I think I designed costumes that would fit the character. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am least satisfied with is I wish I could have seen the play.

May reflection Blog (4th Quarter Project)

Before attempting this activity, I thought the most difficult part to accomplish would be to stay in character because of the people in my group. Together we are very playful and are always being playful not really taking anything seriously. After completing it, I now think the most difficult part to accomplish was relaxing based on the fact before a performance I get anxious, nervous, and my mind was focused on remembering my lines to the point I was getting tongue tied a bit. The most important thing I learned from this activity is to relax because you can definitely be your own worst enemy, by psyching yourself out before you even do what you were supposed to do. The most surprising or interesting thing I learned from this activity is I love country accents, it can be fun to do if you put all your energy into it. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am most satisfied with is keeping intact my country accent from the south. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am least satisfied with is I lacked movement like I did okay but I rehearsed so much to do with my lines and sort of choked, which was a huge disappointment to myself.

May Blog Post

Before attempting my 4th quarter project, Small Group Scene, I thought the most difficult part to accomplish would be memorizing my lines and figuring out a way to not make our scene look scripted. To not make it look like we're just saying our lines without feeling.
After completing it, I know think the most difficult part to accomplish was staying focused and not lose character.
The most important thing I learned from this activity is that the entire group relies on each other to make the performance perfect. If one member doesn't do a good job then we all didn't do a good job.
The most surprising thing I learned from this activity is that Jessica, Destiny and I are really good at  going with the flow.
The aspect of my work on this activity that I am most satisfied with is being able to decide which parts were needed and which were not from the scene and being able to crop them out without interrupting the flow.
The aspect of my work that I am least satisfied with is my ability to remember my lines in the correct order that they appear.

Duet scene fourth quarter project

For my fourth quarter project I did a duet scene, "Brighton Beach Memoirs", with my partner Teoni. Before attempting this activity I thought the most difficult part to accomplish would be memorizing all the lines! I had a paragraph to memorize every time my character spoke! After completing it, I now think the most difficult part was trying to be a sad character. I'm more of an upbeat person, I'm not usually sad so that was a challenge for me. The most important thing I learned from this activity is to choose your partner wisely. It's important to choose your partner wisely because it's a group effort. You can't do perfect and your partner do the exact opposite to get a good grade. The most surprising or interesting thing I learned from this activity is memorizing the lines wasn't that hard. That goes to show never doubt yourself because you never know what you are capable of doing. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am most satisfied with is again, memorizing all those lines! I never really thought I could do it. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am least satisfied with is not being able to pick my own scene. I did notice that it would of been easier if I just would of stopped being lazy and just googled a shorter duet scene to do. Well, the early bird actually does get the worm. 

May Blog Reflection

1. Before attempting this activity I thought that it should be fun doing a drama with my partner.
2.After completing it I now think the most difficult part to accomplish was to find out a way to get the performance done since my partner was leaving the weekend of.
3. The most important thing I learned from this activity was that there are different ways to get a scene done, it's up to you to make it fun or not.
4. The most surprising or interesting thing I learned from this activity is that my partner and I get really into a scene when it's a drama.
5. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am most satisfied with is that we both had our lines memorized, usually it's one or the other that doesn't.
6. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am least satisfied with is not having my costume during the performance but I was a teenager so I guess it fit in haha :)

May Blog Review

1.Before attempting this activity, I thought the most difficult part to accomplish would be actually creating the an article of clothing from my pieces. Since I know I can't sew at all.
2. After completing it, I now think the most difficult part to accomplish was designing the clothing itself. I would have a cute image in my head for the way I would want it to look. However since I am artistically challenged it came out completely different from the way I pictured it.
3. The most important thing I learned from this activity is choose something your good at. When you know your not good at something and your grade relies on it just don't do it. In the end you may end up with a bad grade when you could've got a better grade at something else.
4. The most surprising or interesting thing I learned from this activity is that I prefer acting in front of people rather then designing. I'm a shy person and don't like acting in front of people but I'm also not good at costume design. Which would make acting easier because I'm better at that.
5. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am most satisfied with is completing it all on time. Also doing everything that was required.
6. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am least satisfied with is the piece i actually had to create. I don't like it so much but it was most convenient money wise and time wise.

Ericha's Last Post of Her Junior Year : YOLO.

1.Even though I have done districts and performed a lot before starting this project it was hard to find a piece that fits me and that I already haven't done.
2. Even though I haven't performed yet in class I think that the most difficult  part will be to realate/connect and to stay in character, i usaully do pretty well with staying in character but the emotion of this piece will challenge my abilities.
3. The most important thing I learned form the project is that I need to grow up and grow some tolerance for other people. Doing projects alone gets kind of boring!
4. The most suprising thing that I learned is i get lonely really fast when nobody is entertaining me.
5. The aspect of my work that I am most satisfied with is the fact that njno matter what I will give my all!

p.s. this year in acting has made me humble. I love getting to know everyone that i didn't while at the same time enjoying the company of the ones I did. Acting is different from what I thought it would be but i'm pleased with the end result. ms.gittings was a great teacher and i'm glad she was able to deal with all my extra-ness. I'm sad to know that the seniors are leaving but glad to know that i'm officially a senior. I know I won't remember much from high school as i move on but i'll TRY to never forget you guys.... just kiding. I'm OUT.

May blog post

my blog post is on my 4th quater project in which im going to perform he loves me, he loves me not, as nana.
1.even though i didnt perform yet i thought the hardest part would be to memorize this one big line that i have and think of a story that fits our theme and plot.
2.umm, i think the hardest part when performing would be to be able to stay in charcter and being able to tell if your partner knows her/his lines or not if their making a pause like in my pervious act with the money problem.
3.the most important thing i learned from this activity was team work and trust that both you and your partner or partners would come in dress code or with props or memoize their lines and not leave you hanging while they take a bad grade and make you pay.
4.the most surprising or intresting thing i learned from this activity was how much fun it is to be surronded by your friends and being able to act stupid or yourself for a grade.
5.the aspect of my work that im most satisfied is that i thought of what seems to be a real tearjerker not only because my character is a surviver of the holocaust.
6.the aspect im probably going to be the least satisfied is with my memorization of lines and ablility to stay in charcter for so long when its a sad scene.

mic porter period 4 may blog post

1.before attempting this activity i thought the most difficult part to accomplish would be working with a 5 person groups containing 4 boys and one girl
.after completing the task i now think the most difficult part to accomplish was having to break up the 5 person group with my friends for the sake of my grade.the most important thing i learned from this activity was having to do what i have to for my grade and once again not to procrastinate witch is very hard for me.
the most surprising or interesting thing i learned from this activity is to dedicated myself to my assignments and not wait till the last minute. because that help me to perfect my performance.
but with all of that being said the aspect of my work i am most satisfied with is being able to choose a partner who seems serious about her craft, as well as dedicated.
the aspect of my life i am least satisfied with would have to be nothing i'm excited and intend to do great.

4.The most surprising thing I learned from the activity is my capability to learn lines fast.
5. The aspect of my work I am most satisfied with is my dedication to my character and the aspect of my work I am least satisfied with is my slacking off and because of that I wasn't a dependable partner.

Play review and Duet scenes

Before attempting this activity, I thought the most difficult part to accomplish would be,remembering the whole Aida play because even though it was amazing the play was like 2 hours long and it scared me because I knew i would have to write a play review about it. As or the duet senses the most difficult part in the beginning was actually finding something that not only fit me but also my partner and something that Mrs.Gittings approved.
After completing it, I now think the most difficult part to accomplish was, After writing and turning in my play review i now think the most difficult part was being able to take what i was thinking since i honestly had so many positive thoughts in my mind, and putting it down on paper with it making sense. I tried my best to include every actor in the play since they all did so well. After getting a scene that would work for us and finally having one good rehearsal for it the most difficult part is remembering the lines since its so long.
The most important thing I learned from this activity is, The most important thing I learned is to not wait till the last minute to write something like a play review since i had to pretty much do it off what i remembered. As for the duet scene picking something as soon as possible is what i learned since theirs not so much time to practice it.
The most surprising or interesting thing I learned from this activity is, How well of a writer i am that pretty much surprised me and how well of an actor my partner is she take direction really well.
The aspect of my work on this activity that I am most satisfied with is, How well the scene as come along in such a short amount of time since i only did it once with my partner.
The aspect of my work on this activity that I am least satisfied with is, nothing really just a little worried if all the lines will stick in my head by time of the performance.

Ja'Lyn Lee's May Reflection Blog Post

Before attempting this activity, I thought the most difficult part to accomplish would be finding an actual solo. It's hard to pick a good solo that suits your voice, one that can relate to the person you are.
After completing it, I now think the most difficult part to accomplish was gaining the courage to do the performance. It's not necessarily the easiest thing to get in front of people to become another character.
The most important thing I learned from this activity is just do it. Don't let your fears take over. Just thik of it as you being there all alone. It's just you and the stage.
The most surprising or interesting thing I learned from this activity is that i could do more if I just do it from the heart. It takes longer to do something when you're thinking about it. Just let go.
The aspect of my work on this activity that I am most satisfied with is my actual perfomance. Usually i'm not that estatic with all of y performances knowing that i could have done better, but i'm going to push my own limits and see how far that would take me.
The aspect of my work on this activity that I am least satisfied with is how long i procrastinated to find my performance. I could have done a little better with that, but I think that i'm ready overall.

musical

Before attemptingthis activity I thought the most difficut part accomplished would be the memorization. After completing it I now think the most difficult part to accomplish was the singing itself. The most important thing I learned from this activity is to get rid of your worries and just do it because in the end if you do what you do it won't even matter if something goes wrong cus you've done your best. The most surprising thing I learned from this is that some of my classmates can really blow there just too shy to admit it. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am most satisfied with is the colaboration of wonderful talents and ideas to create a wonderful show. The aspect of my work on this activity that I am least satisfied with is the singing. We have to come together and find the right tone and stick with it. All in all my group was really good and really came up with great ideas.

Before attempting ima call it pass and recieve, I thought the most difficult part to accomplish would be to work with other people. Im a very friendly type of person. So i thought i was going to be distracted most of the time and not be able to accomplish any work.
After completing pass and recieve, I now think the most difficult part to accomplish was to get out of that comfort zone and stop carring about wat people think of me. I have noticed being extra is'nt about being annoying but being more of yourself that some people might not know.
The most important thing I learned from pass and recieve  is you have to really focus and set aside all othe noises and focus on the job in front of you.
The most surprising or interesting thing I learned from pass and recieve is that I can actually remember more than I ever could have believed
The aspect of my work on pass and recieve that I am most satisfied with is that I could do it again and not forget how to play cause I'll just be doing ME except for the part I forget alot
