Will the Truth Actually Set You Free?

Ever since we were little adults have programmed into our brain that we must always tell the truth. In most cases they are certainly right, but other times you just cannot tell the truth. If everyone in the world spoke the truth there would be no friendships and everything would be tense. Lying may seem like the easy way out but in the end it will hurt more. I learned from experience that its better to just spit the truth and not worry about how the other person will feel because they need to hear the truth. Like my friend had a crush on this boy and he was all kinds of wrong for her. But she waas all gaga for the dude and he was treating her like crap because he knew how she felt. I had to tell her that he doesn't like her and that he's using her and it's making her look like a fool. I felt bad afterwards but hey it is what it is. Being truthful is important in any relationship to a point. I mean if you're guy and your girl asks you if her butt looks uneven in a skirt (that made no sense but you know what I mean). You better say no (even if it does). Telling the truth in that case will only cause her self esteem to lower.
Post a comment on other reason why lying may be okay or when you absolutely MUST tell the truth. Please and Thank You :)
Just a song by Chris Brown <3 but the chorus is relevant to the topic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Kv0ik1tvac
