Since the beginning of drama and acting, it was always a male performing the role of a woman knowing that it was inappropriate for a woman to be on stage. In my opinion, women have turned that around and are beginning to dominant their talent on the screen and stage all over the world. Which is why Amanda Seyfried is my absolute favorite actress! The first movie that I recognized her comedic personality was in Mean girls. She played the role of Karen, a spunky teenage girl with the moind of a squirrel. She was the dumb girl with only one thing on her mind..making her superior friend Regina think she was an awesome friend. Then I saw her evolve into a musical theater type of actress when she landed the role of Sophie in Mamma Mia. She played the daughter of Donna (Meryl Streep), who wants to keep her mother happy but knows she must make her self happy as well. It turns out that she ends up getting engaged, but only has one thing on her mind as well. She doesnt know who her father is!! I mean i think it would be sort of hard to walk down the isle without your father. I later saw her playing the same type of role when she came out with the movie Letters to Juliet, also playing a role with the same name Sophie. Sophie takes a trip to Verona Italy with her fiance Victor but ends up discovering more then what she hoped for. She uncovers a letter that was written in 1958, by a teenage girl asking for advice about her true love. It turns out that she goes on a trip with her to find him, until one day they find him and all is well right? Wrong! The whole time Victor doesnt mind that they have been apart and Sophie endsuo falling for the woman's grandson Charlie. Now I know that she can play any role at all when she came out in the movie Red Riding Hood, almost a type of twilight scenario. She played the role of a teenage girl who finds out she can talk to wolves and must chose between her past and the life she is arranged to have. But what shocks me absolutely the most is when she played the lead role in the movie Gone. In this action packed horror film she plays the role of a woman looking for a kidnapper without getting caught, because the guy is looking for her too!!! Do you think Amanda is an amazing actress or do you think she can only act in one type of role?
Want to see the trailer for her new movie gone here it is; Gone
